The Senior Singers became part of Waihi Central School culture in 2007, and was the brainchild of Phil Salmon(ex DP) and Angela Armiger(singing teacher). It is an extension group for senior students with singing ability and has now become a position of prestige within the school. Students must audition and be selected to become a member of the group. High expectations are placed on the successful candidates, as they are leaders and role models for younger students, as well as talented performers who represent our school in the community.
The Senior Singers of 2012 are: Shontae Biddle-Monga, Maia Biddle-Monga, Brenna Atkins, Macy Tukaki, Cyprus Sinclair, John Patrick Hauraki-Wilson, Ryan O'Brien & Kaii Merriman. They also gave an excellent performance at a very successful Community Concert along with WaihiGlee and the Waihi Community Singers in November.

They also gave a wonderful performance at their Honours Board Assembly to say farewell to Waihi Central School as they all moved on to college in 2012.
The Senior Singers of 2009 were: Victoria Madgwick, Bella Rolleston, Hannah Arevalo, Sam McAlister, Austin Martin & Katelyn Gordon. The performance highlight of 2009 was the musical production "The Mystery of the Silver Sphinx",which not only showed off the talents of our students but also our teachers played the parts of Pharaoh Phancypants & his queen!
The Senior Singers of 2008 were: Chance Phillips, Jarvana Phillips, Isla Donaldson, Hannah Arevalo, Cruize Murray-Faulkner, David Jennings & Sharnae Binns. One of the year's highlights for this group was recording the theme song for Pumphouse TV at a proper recording studio!
